Three booked for stealing material worth Rs 3.59 lakh

BATHINDA: Three persons have been booked for stealing valuable material worth Rs 3.59 lakh from a showroom situation on the Mall road.

Three persons have been booked for stealing valuable material worth Rs 3.59 lakh from a showroom situation on the Mall road. With the help of CCTV cameras installed inside the showroom, the police managed to identify the accused.

The accused have been identified as Subham, a resident of Jogi Nagar; and Gurwinder Singh and Dheeraj, both resident of Mehma Serja village.

On the statement of Ashok Kumar, a resident of Nayi Basti, a case under Sections 381, 406, 420 and 34 of the IPC has been registered.

The complainant told the police the accused had stolen 1,100 kits, 48 bags, 25 ladies purse and three sets of suitcases from the showroom. He said the total worth of the stolen material was Rs 3.59 lakh.

Gurmukh Singh, investigating officer, said the accused would be held soon. — TNS
