Stray animal hits car, cop dies

Faridkot, October 13

A woman constable with the Faridkot police died on Saturday after a stray animal hit the car she was driving while returning home after her duty.

Besides the deceased, Sarbjit Kaur of Nathewala village of Faridkot, Akdev Kaur, another colleague, have sustained serious injuries.

Both posted at Police Lines, Sarbjit Kaur and Akdev Kaur were deputed at Jaitu. At the time of returning home in the car in the evening, a stray animal, all of sudden appeared on the road and hit the car. —TNS
