SSP, IGP meet J&K students at Adesh varsity

BATHINDA:The Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Bathinda Range, MF Farooqui, and the SSP, Dr Nanak Singh, on Saturday visited Adesh University to review security arrangements being provided to Jammu and Kashmir students on the campus.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Bathinda Range, MF Farooqui, and the SSP, Dr Nanak Singh, on Saturday visited Adesh University to review security arrangements being provided to Jammu and Kashmir students on the campus.

During an interaction with them, they were apprised of various points.

While talking to the students, the IGP said the students should integrate with each other and should not feel alienated and if there was any grievance , doubt or concern regarding security, they should brought the matter to the notice of the administration. On the occasion, the contact number of the authorities was shared for this purpose.

Later, they also answered the queries of students ranging from the expression on social media to the difference in the cultural of Punjab and J&K.

While talking to Bathinda Tribune, the SSP said the IGP, Bathinda Range, and he went to Adesh University to have a broader view regarding the safety and security of J&K students there. He said their objective was to know what they think and were they feeling secured.

He said the interaction was good as they had raised a few points.
