Three snatching cases have been reported in the district since the past four days.

A city resident’s bike and cash was stolen at knife point near Nehru Park while gold earrings were snatched from an elderly woman near Namdev Road. A student’s cell phone was also snatched on Power House Road by miscreants two days ago. In a complaint to the police, Pawan Kumar said unidentified miscreants had snatched gold earrings worth Rs 14,000 from his wife near Namdev Road. Pawan said he met SP (city) today in this regard who said as most of the police force were involved in investigating the Maur Mandi Blast, minor criminal cases were on the rise.

Pawan demanded immediate arrest of culprits whose motorcycle was captured in a CCTV camera which, he said, was handed over to the police. The police said a case in this regard had been registered.
