PWD workers protest delay in releasing salary

BATHINDA: Members of the PWD Workshop Workers Union (water supply and sewerage branch) on Tuesday staged a protest outside the offices of the XEN of Sewerage Board (division 1 and 2) near Rose Garden.

Members of the PWD Workshop Workers Union (water supply and sewerage branch) on Tuesday staged a protest outside the offices of the XEN of Sewerage Board (division 1 and 2) near Rose Garden. The protesters raised slogans against the XEN.

The union workers resented that the salaries of 32 contract workers were not released.

While addressing the protest, union president Raj Kumar Grover and secretary Kulwinder Singh said due to the wrong attitude of officials, every month workers’ salaries were delayed.

The union members also announced that if their salary issue was not resolved then they would again stage protest on August 23.
