Praneet assumes charge as Bathinda DC

Bathinda, July 18

IAS Praneet on Wednesday assumed charge as Deputy Commissioner of Bathinda. SSP Dr Nanak Singh, ADC Sakshi Sawhney, SDM Balwinder Singh, Talwandi Sabo SDM Varinder Kumar and Rampura SDM Khushdil Singh welcomed the Deputy Commissioner.

Praneet was earlier posted as Special Secretary, Revenue and Rehabilitation, and Additional Commissioner (Appeals), Jalandhar.

The Deputy Commissioner said his immediate focus would be to solve the problem of sewerage system in Bathinda and nearby areas.

The main areas of his concern would be the issue of drugs and the Tandarust Punjab campaign.

He will take up the pending projects of the district, review the ongoing ones and will ensure that projects related to education, health, agriculture and basic infrastructure are implemented in a smooth manner.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner was given a guard of honour by a contingent of the Punjab police on his arrival.
