Bathinda, October 14

The parents of a Class XII student on Monday raised suspicion over checking of his physical education exam by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB).  They said their ward was given less marks than what he deserved in the exam.

Addressing a press conference here, Sandeep Goyal, father of the student, said, “My son Harshit  has been given less numbers in the physical education exam due to a mistake of the board. My son studies in Bhoj Raj Public School in Veer Colony and despite his examination went well, he got less marks. He was given just 3 marks in the exam and even after revaluation, only 3 marks were added.”

Goyal added, “After submitting a complaint to the Chief Minister, the paper was checked again. This time, my son got 40 marks and detailed marks sheet was issued by the PSEB. We are not satisfied with these marks and according to my son, he deserves at least 46 marks in the paper. My son is depressed due to the indifferent approach of the PSEB. We have again written to the Chief Minister and demanded that after conducting a proper inquiry, appropriate action must be taken against those responsible for preparing the result.”— TNS
