The police have booked a resident of Mulatania road for duping a person of Rs 5 lakh.

In his complaint to the police, Gurtej Singh of Guru Nanak Nagar said Jaswinder Singh had promised him to sell a piece of land, but later he got another plot registered and duped him of Rs 5 lakh.

Police officials at the Canal Colony police station said the plot was in Guru Nanak Nagar, Bathinda, and a case of cheating had been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made so far.
