The Rureke Kalan police have registered a case against a Bhaini Jassa village resident after confiscating eight boxes of smuggled liquor last night. On a tip-off about the smuggling of liquor from Chandigarh to Bhaini Jassa village last night, a Rureke Kalan police station team conducted raids.

During raid, the police seized eight boxes of smuggled liquor and arrested Balraj Singh. The police have also seized a motorcycle and a scooter. “We have seized total eight boxes of liquor and arrested Balraj. We have started investigation,” said ASI Balraj Singh, who led the police team. The police have registered a case under Sections 61, 1 and 14 of the Excise Act.
