Nine GZSCCET students get placement

Under a special placement drive, nine students of the textile engineering department of Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology (GZSCCET) has been selected for recruitment by the Oswal Group of Industries, Ludhiana, on Tuesday.

The department of textile engineering has signed an MoU with CENTEX, Ludhiana, which will further strengthen the training and placement of the stream.

A three-member expert committee comprising Ramandeep Singh, head (Human Resource), engineers SC Thakur and Banerjee, head (Production Department) of Oswal Group, visited the campus for the placement drive.

Dr Devanand Uttam, head, department of textile engineering, congratulated the successful students. He said efforts were made by the department that young engineers not only were job seekers but also job creators by starting their own ventures under the various schemes of the Government of India.
