The police on Friday claimed to have busted a flesh trade racket, arresting nine persons. The racket was operating allegedly from a guest house inside Sultanwind Gate.

Owner of the guest house, along with manager, fled the scene. A case under Immoral Trafficking Act has been registered against 11 persons, including women.

Investigating officer Raminderpal Singh said the police had received specific information that Shashi Sharma and Sunny, both residents of Bhushanpura, ran a flesh trade racket from their guest house, located inside Sultanwind gate. A raid was conducted and nine persons were found in objectionable position.

Sections 3, 4 and 5 of Immoral Trafficking Act have been slapped. — TNS
