BATHINDA: A homeless man died of cold after spending entire night outside near the Khooni Phatak area in the city.

Bathinda: A homeless man died of cold after spending entire night outside near the Khooni Phatak area in the city. Members of a city-based NGO reached the spot and found that the body of a man was lying near the railway tracks. The identity of the deceased could not be established. The deceased did not wear any woollens. He also seemed to have consumed some intoxicants and fell unconscious and later died due to extreme cold weather, said a NGO member. Later, NGO members informed the Government Railway Police (GRP), whose officials reached the spot and conducted initial investigation. The GRP have sent the body to the Civil Hospital for postmortem.
