Retired Army man honoured

MUKTSAR: Havildar Gurprit Singh (retd), who is the sarpanch of Khokhar village, was honoured on the occasion of 56th Raising Day of the 10 JAK Rifles of the Army on Tuesday.

Havildar Gurprit Singh (retd), who is the sarpanch of Khokhar village, was honoured on the occasion of 56th Raising Day of the 10 JAK Rifles of the Army on Tuesday.

Brig Tarun Kumar Chopra handed over an appreciation award to him. Gurprit said he served in the Army from July 2000 to July 2017.

“I have been awarded for my diligent devotion to duty, honesty, loyalty, selflessness and spirit of sportsmanship,” claimed 40-year-old Gurprit.
