Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary, general secretary, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, along with officials visited Puwari village to take stock of the situation of the ongoing work to curb fresh breach on the banks of Sutlej river near Phillaur today.

Chaudhary said sandbags and wire mesh cages were arranged by the state government to prevent further erosion. Vikramjit applauded the team of elderly and youngsters from the nearby villages. — OC
