Dedicated to Punjab government’s Mission Tandrust, two-day district level games (under-25) began at the Multi-purpose Sports Stadium in city on Saturday. 

The District Sports Officer, Vijay Kumar, said the Sports Department of Punjab Government was organising various games for boys and girls to encourage them to participate in sports. He said around 1,500 youths would participate in the event. Winners would be honored with certificates and medals, he added. 

Sunil Kumar, senior assistant of Sports Department, was also present on the occasion. In 100m athletics event, Ajay Pratap bagged gold medal, Amandeep Singh came second, Parvinder Singh was third.
