Woman dies under mysterious circumstances

A 24-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her residence in Ward No.26 here on Monday. The police have detained victim Ramandeep’s husband Sukhwinder Singh for questioning.

Though the victim’s in-laws claimed it to be a case of suicide, the police said the body had some injury marks and blood stains. Sources said as Sukhwinder was addicted to liquor, the police had doubts about him. The victim had shifted from Delhi to Malout about a fortnight ago. She had a four-year-old child. — TNS
