Twenty women duped of Rs 35K each in Malout

MALOUT: Around 20 women have lodged a complaint with the Malout City police alleging that two local residents duped them of Rs 35,000 each by fraudulently obtaining loans from a private company in their name.

Around 20 women have lodged a complaint with the Malout City police alleging that two local residents duped them of Rs 35,000 each by fraudulently obtaining loans from a private company in their name. A complainant said, “We got a loan of Rs 25,000 each and repaid it. Later, fresh loans of Rs 35,000 each were also obtained. We came to know about it only when the company officials came for recovery. We want strict action to be taken in this regard,” she said. — TNS
