3,000 meritorious students felicitated

BATHINDA: Meritorious students from Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan were felicitated during the BFGI Academic Achievers Award-2019 organised at Baba Farid Group of Institutions here on Tuesday.

Meritorious students from Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan were felicitated during the BFGI Academic Achievers Award-2019 organised at Baba Farid Group of Institutions here on Tuesday.

As many as 3,000 students from 250 different schools who had got 80 per cent or above marks in the Classes X and XI examinations in the session 2018-2019 were honoured during the award ceremony. Students from the three districts had got themselves registered to attend the award ceremony. Moreover, principals from various schools which had shown outstanding performance in the previous academic session were also honoured.

Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, chairman, BFGI, and Paramjit Kaur Dhaliwal, managing director, attended the ceremony as the chief guests. Parents, principals and teachers from different schools were welcomed by the organisers.

The principals from various schools, who attended the event, said this was a very unique initiative of BFGI, which made the meritorious students feel proud.

Dhaliwal said these students would be encouraged to improve upon their academic performance and make the nation proud. He exhorted students to have a positive attitude to remain free of anxiety and tension.
