Members of the BKU (Sidhupur) on Saturday claimed that they have lodged a petition in the Punjab & Haryana High Court for protection and liberty after SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal had threatened them with dire consequences.

BKU (Sidhupur) state president Baldev Singh Sandoha and Mandi Kalan village president Balraj Singh, along with their advocate, held a press conference in which they stated that a few days ago they had staged a protest at Mandi Kalan village. Later, Sukhbir, while addressing the workers, had threatened them with dire consequences if the SAD came to power in the state.

It is pertinent to mention that a few days ago, members of BKU (Sidhupur) and Bhullar community had staged a protest against SAD and did not allow party candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal to hold a public meeting at Mandi Kalan village in the district. Irked over this Harsimrat, along with SAD leaders and workers, had staged a protest on the road, after which she, along with her husband Sukhbir Badal, addressed the workers in the village later at night.
