Walkathon held on World Oral Health Day

BATHINDA: The Adesh Institute of Dental Sciences and Research organised a walkathon — A way to better oral health — in five adopted villages of the college on World Oral Health Day 2019 here on Wednesday.

The Adesh Institute of Dental Sciences and Research organised a walkathon — A way to better oral health — in five adopted villages of the college on World Oral Health Day 2019 here on Wednesday.

The walkathon passed through Bucho Khurd, Kahan Singhwala, Lehra Mohabbat, Bucho Kalan and Tungwali villages and the urban health center, Bucho Mandi.

A group of 60 students accompanied by five MDS staff members and BDS lecturers visited these places and rendered health education to the masses. The students were carrying placards and they also distributed pamphlets among villagers. They also demonstrated correct brushing techniques.

Dr Amnish, principal, Adesh Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, congratulated the students and teachers. He urged all oral health professionals to reach out to the masses and played a role in reducing oral disease burden.

Dr Jatinder said such activities would continue in future as well. The programme was coordinated by Dr Ridhi, Dr Lavleen, Dr Sanjana, Dr Surinder, Dr Ravinder and Dr Anmol.
