Seven-day awareness camp begins at CUP

The NSS wing of the Central University of Punjab commenced a seven-day awareness camp with the coordination of Directorate of Youth Services, Punjab, at Jassi Pau Wali in Bathinda on Monday.

The aim was to create awareness about higher education, health and hygiene. It was organised under the direction of Vice-Chancellor Prof RK Kohli and supervision of Registrar Prof Jagdeep Singh and programme coordinator, NSS Cell, Dr Deepak Kumar Chauhan. Around 40 volunteers from Unit-IV NSS Wing participated on the first day of camp.

The theme on the first day was “Clean India, Green India”. Dr Ramanpreet Kaur, programme officer, NSS Cell, CUPB, and Sukhnaib Singh welcomed the participants. The panchayat house-cum-anganwadi complex was cleaned under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
