A man solemnised a second marriage without divorcing his first wife. The accused has been identified as Ajay Bhardwaj, a resident of Bhattian village.
He along with his father Davinder Bhardwaj and mother Madhu Bhardwaj have been booked by the police.
As per the information available, Neha Bhardwaj, a resident of Laxmi Puri, Salem Tabri, had filed a complaint on July 18 that the accused had solemnised marriage with her in 2011.
Neha said she has a six-year-old son and her husband opted for the second marriage without giving divorce to her.
She alleged that in 2015, Ajay also got her to abort a child and had told her in-laws that she was not mentally sound. As a result, they forced her to go back to her parental house.
Neha said in 2017, her husband solemnised the second marriage with a resident of Shivpuri. After coming to know about the second marriage she filed a complaint with the police.
A case under Sections 420, 494 and 120-B of the IPC has been registered against the accused. — TNS
