Man shot dead over trivial issue

A resident of Akalia Jalal village was killed in a firing incident today after a fight over a trivial issue. Two others also received serious injuries in the incident.

As per information, Rajdin tethered his animals on a panchayat land in the village when Sadiq Mohammad also went there. Heated arguments ensued between the cattle owner and Sadiq.

Later, Teja Khan, son of Sadiq Mohammad,  fired a gun shot at Rajdin after which supporters of both parties entered into heated arguments. The bullet hit rajdin’s stomach.

Sadiq and Teja received serious injuries in the fight. Later, Rajdin was declared dead at the nearby government hospital. Sadiq and Teja were referred to the local Civil Hospital. The condition of Sadiq was said to be critical.

Police officials reached the spot and are inquiring about the incident. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
