Man objects to ‘indecent’ acts at park, beaten up

Some youths beat up a resident by barging into his house located opposite the Dadi-Poti park in the Model Town Phase-3 area.

The youths reportedly took this step as the person stopped boys and girls from sitting at the Dadi-Poti park.

The man’s family informed the police about the incident. The police reached the spot and started a probe into the incident.

In a complaint, Ramchander Gupta, a resident of house number 690, has stated that around 12 pm, a few boys and girls were seen indulging into inappropriate acts at the Dadi-Poti park and when he intervened and told them to stop, the latter called their follow associates and started throwing stones at his house.

Later, they entered the house and threatened him of dire consequences in future and fled from the spot.

ASI Baljit Pal Singh said the police had registered a case against unidentified persons.
