BATHINDA: A man who went to see Dasehra celebrations was allegedly murdered by four persons in the Bhagta Bhai Ka area in the district. The deceased’s body was recovered from near a motor in the fields.

A man who went to see Dasehra celebrations was allegedly murdered by four persons in the Bhagta Bhai Ka area in the district. The deceased’s body was recovered from near a motor in the fields.

The accused also beat up the deceased’s associate, who is seriously injured and undergoing treatment at a hospital.

After recovering the body, the Dyalpura police have registered a case against four persons under Sections 302, 323 and 34 of the IPC.

The police, after getting postmortem of the deceased conducted, handed over the body to his family. The police have also started the process of arresting the accused in the case.

In a complaint lodged with the police by the Kulbir Singh, a resident of Bhagta Bhai Ka, it has been stated that his brother Karamjit Singh had gone to see Dasehra celebrations but four persons murdered him and hid his body in a room near a motor in fields. They came to know about this when his body was recovered on Saturday.

Police officials said on the statement of deceased’s brother Kulbir Singh, they had registered a case against Lakhi Dhaliwal, Guri, Balwinder Singh and Gora at the Dyalpura police station.

Investigating officer inspector Harjeet Singh said they had started conducting raids to arrest the accused in the case. — TNS
