MALOUT: The Malout (City) police on Monday booked a resident of Rathrian village near here for allegedly raping a mentally challenged girl.

The Malout (City) police on Monday booked a resident of Rathrian village near here for allegedly raping a mentally challenged girl.

The victim’s mother lodged a complaint with the police alleging that her daughter had gone out of the house and when she did not return, the family members started looking out for her. She was found from Vajir Singh’s residence. The accused hit her on the head with a stick. The mother-daughter duo are admitted to a hospital. The police have started investigation.
