Bathinda, January 13

After inaugurating Punjabi Ekta Party’s first office in the state in Bathinda, MLA Sukhpal Khaira appealed to his party workers to gear up for the upcoming elections and announced that his party would fight elections on all 13 seats in the state in alliance with likeminded parties.

Khaira said they had formed a party to give alternative to the people and end dynastic rule of two families — Badals and Capt Amarinder Singh — which have ruled and looted the state in the past 20-30 years.

He also announced that soon one more AAP MLA would resign from the party and announcement regarding it would be made public in the coming days.

While talking to mediapersons, Khaira lashed out at Justice Zora Singh for minting money through ‘bogus’ commission, which probed sacrilege incidents.

Sukhpal Khaira said the claim of Justice Zora Singh that Gora Singh, granthi of a gurdwara in Burj Jawahar Singh Wala, was not properly questioned by the police was false and unfounded.

“Gora Singh, his wife and some other innocent persons were given third-degree physical torture by the police as per the wishes of Justice Zora Singh,” he added.

Replying to a query that he had resigned from the party, but not resigning from the MLA’s post, Khaira said people of Bholath made him win, due to which he was not resigning.
