A student of Baba Farid Group of Institutions made the organisation proud by performing well in sports.

Karanveer Singh, a student of BA (second year) of Baba Farid College, Bathinda, bagged the first position in shot put event with 17.61 m during the annual inter-college athletics championship organised by Punjabi University, Patiala, on the university campus.

Karanveer Singh is selected for the All-India Inter-University Athletics Championship, which will be held from December 12-16 at Guntur in Andhra Pradesh.

Karanveer Singh thanked the management of the BFGI and coach Gursimran Singh Garry for guiding and supporting him.

BFGI chairman Dr Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal congratulated Karanveer Singh and his parents for his success and also motivated him to participate more in these types of championships.

The vice-principal of the college also congratulated and wished him good luck for his future.
