IGP reviews security mgmt at refinery, assures support

Inspector General of Police (IGP), Bathinda Range, MF Farooqui on Tuesday visited Guru Gobind Singh Refinery and reviewed security management there.

He met senior management of HMEL. He was accompanied by Bathinda SSP Dr Nanak Singh.

Krishan Tuteja, VP (Operations), HMEL, and Ramesh Chugh, VP, Technical Services, HMEL, welcomed him and gave an overview of Guru Gobind Singh Refinery operations.

He was given a detailed presentation by the HMEL security team regarding the crude oil pipeline as well as the state-of-the-art security and disaster management systems at HMEL.

Farooqui acknowledged the importance of the refinery infrastructure for the region and highlighted the need for alertness of refinery security team and use of latest security surveillance gadgets to handle any untoward situation. He assured the refinery management of his full cooperation in its smooth and uninterrupted operations.
