I-T raid at hair transplant clinic

The local unit of the Income Tax Department conducted a raid at a private hair transplant clinic on the Namdev road on Thursday.

Sources in the department said after getting a tip-off, a raid was conducted at Garg Hair Transplant Clinic.

An official privy to the raid proceedings said, “We had information that the owner of the private clinic had income disproportionate to his known sources. After gathering inputs at our end, we conducted the raid. The owner of the clinic had adjusted deposits in different bank accounts.”

The I-T officials were busy scrutinising documents and computers. No seizures were made till the filing of the report.

A team led by Deputy Commissioner of the department started the raid proceedings around 12 pm.
