Host boys register 28-18 win over Jalandhar, girls lose to Moga 20-6

BATHINDA: On the second day of the 62nd Punjab State School Circle Kabaddi (U-17) Games, the girls’ team of Bathinda lost to Moga 20-6, while the boys’ team registered a 28-18 win over Jalandhar at the Multipurpose Sports Stadium here today.

On the second day of the 62nd Punjab State School Circle Kabaddi (U-17) Games, the girls’ team of Bathinda lost to Moga 20-6, while the boys’ team registered a 28-18 win over Jalandhar at the Multipurpose Sports Stadium here today.

In the girls’ category, Amritsar defeated Patiala 41-28, while Ludhiana beat Mansa 42-15. In other matches, Nawanshahr thrashed Gurdaspur 33-4, Sangrur drubbed Patiala 27-9, Ludhiana beat Faridkot 15-9, Moga trounced Ferozepur 39-4, Muktsar defeated Gurdaspur 33-7, Roopnagar outplayed Patiala 36-5, Ludhiana defeated Fatehgarh Sahib 32-9, Moga edged past Fazilka 24-22 and Muktsar defeated Nawashehar 23-18.

In boys’ category, Gurdaspur defeated Barnala 28-17 and Kapurthala beat Patiala 36-21. In other matches, Moga thrashed Amritsar 42-13, Ludhiana beat Mohali 35-13, Hoshiarpur edged past Gurdaspur 28-26, Patiala beat Muktsar 31-30, Tarn Taran beat Amritsar 25-14, Jalandhar trounced Fatehgarh Sahib 37-10 and Barnala beat Hoshiarpur 22-20 points.
