Getting overwhelming response from people: AAP Bathinda (Rural) candidate

BATHINDA: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Rupinder Kaur Ruby today filed her nomination papers for the Assembly elections from the Bathinda (Rural) constituency.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Rupinder Kaur Ruby today filed her nomination papers for the Assembly elections from the Bathinda (Rural) constituency.

She came on a tractor, which was decorated with flowers, along with her supporters to file the nomination papers with Anil Kumar Garg, Returing Officers at the BDA office.

She took some time to file the papers as she did not write her full name. Thereafter, she went to the District Courts Complex to sort out technical issues involved in the filing of the papers. At 2.50 pm, she filed her nomination papers.

After filing the papers, Ruby said she would win the elections as she was getting an overwhelming response from people in her constituency. She said corruption and drugs were state-level issues in the elections. Renovation of the Mehta minor, construction and renovation of schools are local issues, she added.

She said after winning the election all issues would be addressed on priority.

Other candidates file nomination papers

Jagsir Singh who is contesting the Assembly elections from the Bathinda (Rural) constituency filed his nomination papers today.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Talwandi Sabo Baljinder Kaur and her covering candidate Ranjit Kaur also filed nomination papers today.

In Rampura, AAP candidate Manjit Singh Sidhu, his covering candidate Sandeep Kaur Sidhu and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate Avtar Singh filed the nomination papers.

In the Bucho constituency, AAP candidate Jagsir Singh and BSP candidate Mumtaj filed papers. In Maur, AAP candidate Jagdev Singh and his covering candidate Gurdeep Kaur filed the nomination papers.
