A five-months-old foetus was found abandoned in a drain in Baatha Wala Mohalla here on Saturday evening.

A sweeper in the Municipal Committee, Faridkot, noticed the foetus in the drain. “It was a developed one and the limbs had shaped up,” said Vicky, the sweeper. He noticed the foetus when he was cleaning the drain. It is suspected that either some woman threw it in the drain or it came along with the flow of water.
