Five injured in road accidents

BATHINDA: Five persons have been injured in two road mishaps, which took place in the district on Wednesday.

Five persons have been injured in two road mishaps, which took place in the district on Wednesday.

In the first incident, a couple, along with their kid, was seriously injured as a pick-up jeep rammed into their motorcycle on the Malout road.

After getting information, NGO Naujawan Welfare Society members reached the spot and took the injured to the civil hospital.

The injured have been identified as Lakhwinder Singh (24), Amandeep Kaur (20) and Avijot (4). They were going to a wedding function when the incident took place.

In another incident, an elderly couple traveling on a scooter was injured after a car rammed into them at Kahniya Chowk on the Goniana road.

After getting information, NGO members reached the spot and took the injured to the Civil Hospital. The injured have been identified as Manohar Lal and Rajinder Kaur, residents of Thermal Colony.
