The five-day art festival organised by the Sardar Shobha Singh Memorial Chittarkar Society concluded at Teachers’ Home today. On the last day of the festival, artists from across the state converged on Teachers’ Home.

In the category for students belonging to Classes I to VII, Ishani Nayak of Silver Oaks School won the first place while Kaveri Nayar of St Xavier’s School and Sumit Singla of Doon Senior Secondary Public School, Kararawala, secured the second position. The third position was bagged by Subh of Lord Rama Public School. Ten students were named for the consolation prize.

In the group of students from Classes VIII to X, the students were given the topics "Any Indian Dance Form" and the ‘Contribution of Women to Society’. Aastha Raj of Silver Oaks School won the first place while the second place went to Ravinder Singh of Government High School, Dikh, and Hardeep Kaur of Sudesh Vatika School, Bhagiwandar. The third place was won by Amrinder Singh of Government Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Debomitra Goswami and Avish Elvis of St Xavier School.

In the group for students of Classes X-XII, the students were given the topics "Swachha Bharat Abhiyan’ and the ‘Contribution of Women to Indian Society’. Bhupinder Singh of ITI Baba Farid was adjudged the winner while the second place was won by Banmeet Singh of St Xavier’s School and Sandeep Singh of Government Barjindra Collge, Faridkot. The third position was shared by Ravaani Parteek of St Xavier’s School, Gurdeep Kaur of SVS College, Sunam, and Karamver Kaur of Major Ajaib Singh Senior Secondary School, Jiwan Singh Wala.

In the open canvas competition for art teachers, Kamlesh Rani from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, was given with the first prize while the second prize went to Bathinda’s Rupali. Mangi Lal from Hanumangarg won the third prize in the competition.
