The police are conducting raids to arrest the accused. “Deceased Mandeep Kaur was facing problems as her accused husband Saibar Singh was a drug addict and also had relations with another woman. Last evening, the accused attacked Mandeep with a wooden stick on her head and also injured his son before escaping. The mother and son were taken to the Tapa Civil Hospital where Mandeep was declared dead,” said Parmjit Singh, brother of the deceased. He said Mandeep Kaur was married to the accused around 23 years ago and the couple had four children — three daughters and son Sukhbir. He alleged that whenever Mnadeep tried to stop her husband from going to meet the other woman, he would beat her up. “We have registered a case against accused Saiber Singh.
