Bathinda, August 18

Delhi Public School (DPS) Model United Nations (DPSMUN) 2018 started with much fanfare on August 17 with 122 country representatives from eight schools participating in it. It will be held on the Delhi Public School campus.

There are five committees — United Nations Security Council, AIPPM, General Assembly, Human Rights Council and International Press. The student delegates deliberated on various pressing global issues to resolve them. They came up with some very plausible solutions. Some of the issues discussed were creating a road map for peace in Kashmir, rights of LGBT community, etc. The conference will end with a prize distribution ceremony on August 19. — TNS
