Muktsar, July 13

The district health authorities on Thursday asked Dr Rahul Jindal to perform duties rather than conducting the dope test and gave this charge to Dr Varun, also posted at the Civil Hospital, Muktsar. Besides, the transfer of a data entry operator engaged in the dope test work has been recommended.

Notably, a report about alleged corruption in dope tests and possibility of changing the urine samples appeared on Thursday in these columns under title “Authenticity of dope test under scanner” in Muktsar.

Talking to Bathinda Tribune, Dr Sukhpal Singh, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Muktsar, said, “Though nothing is found against Dr Rahul Jindal during inquiry, he has been deprived of the task of conducting dope tests for the time being. Now, Dr Varun, who is trained from the PGI, will conduct the dope tests here at the Civil Hospital. We have also recommended the transfer of a data entry operator Gursewak Singh to Amritsar.” — TNS
