Dhaliwal takes over as Mansa DC

Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, a 2005-batch IAS officer, on Tuesday took charge as Deputy Commissioner of Mansa.

He was earlier posted as State Transport Commissioner (STC), Punjab. After a guard of honour by the contingent of the Mansa police, he was accorded welcome by officers in the civil administration and the police.

After joining, he said apart from 100 per cent transparency in the administrative work, working for the overall development of the district would be his top priority.

He said no stone would be left unturned to help people in getting maximum benefit of the government schemes.

The Deputy Commissioner said the district administration would ensure that all government services provided to the common man in different departments are completed within stipulated time period.

Dhaliwal has earlier worked as Deputy Commissioner in Ferozepur and Tarn Taran districts.

On his first day of work, he held a meeting of all senior officers and examined the overall development work in the district.

He also enquired about the issue of Ward-Bandi. He asked the officers to ensure that all government employees are present during their working hours on their respective seats so that the common man should not suffer.

Among others present during the meeting included Mansa SSP Parambir Singh Parmar, ADC (G) Gurinderpal Singh Sahota, DSP Bahadur Singh Rao, SP (H) Dr Sachin Gupta, SDM (Sardulgarh) Latif Ahmed, Budhlada SDM Gursimran Singh Dhillon, Assistant Commissioner (Complaints) Deepak Ruhella, GA Om Parkash, District Development Panchayat Officer (DDPO) Jagtar Singh Sidhu and Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Paramjit Singh.
