DC distributes shoes among players

BATHINDA: Mansa Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait on Thursday distributed shoes among 300 players, who would participate in the Punjab State Games to be held in January and March 2019, at a function organised by Talwandi Sabo Power Limited Vedanta Group in association with the Sports Department, at the Multipurpose Sports Stadium in Mansa.

Mansa Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait on Thursday distributed shoes among 300 players, who would participate in the Punjab State Games to be held in January and March 2019, at a function organised by Talwandi Sabo Power Limited Vedanta Group in association with the Sports Department, at the Multipurpose Sports Stadium in Mansa.

Addressing the gathering, Riyait lauded the efforts of the Sports Department, Mansa, to promote sports in the district and exhorted the players to create healthy and competitive atmosphere in their life.

She inspired the participants of the Punjab State Games to bring laurels for the district. District Sports Officer Harpinder Singh thanked Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait and Ajayveer Singh, head, administration and security, Talwandi Sabo Power Limited Vedanta Group.

Singh appealed to the players to take advantage of various schemes of the Punjab Government and the Sports Department after getting medals in the Punjab State Games and national and international-level events.

Jasmeen Kaur, APRO, Talwandi Sabo Power Limited, Raghvir Singh Mann, assistant director, Youth Services, and staff and coaches of the Sports Department were also present on the occasion.
