Bathinda, December 11

Congress leaders and workers on Tuesday celebrated the party’s good performance in three states — Chhatisgarh, Rajasthan and Madya Pradesh — by distributing sweets outside the Finance Minister and local MLA Manpreet Badal’s office in the city.

Congress leaders claimed that the loss of the BJP in major states ahead of the Lok Sabha elections indicated that the BJP would go out of power at the Centre in the coming five months.

They said people were aware of the social welfare schemes of the Congress government, due to which they had reposed their faith in the Congress again and rejected the BJP, which had done nothing accept giving statements.

People have rejected the ‘anti-people’ policies of the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre, they added.

Congress leaders Jaijeet Singh Johal, Mohan Lal Jhumba, Pawan Mani, Rattan Rahi, Ashok Kumar and others were present on the occasion. — TNS
