A city-based skater has won gold medals in the fourth edition of the Indo-Nepal Sports Festival, which was orgnaised from June 17 to 19 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Jogesh Gupta, a Class VII student of Lord Rama School, had participated in the skating competition.

Principal Suraj Setia congratulated him and his parents on the achievement. He felicitated Jogesh during a function on the school campus. Jogesh won the gold medals in 300m and 500m events.

Jogesh said, “The credit for my success goes to the school for their cooperation, my coach Lovepreet Singh and my parents. I will continue to work hard to represent my country and win medals at the international level.” Jogesh’s father Ramashankar Munna said, “Jogesh is good in academics as well. But, we never imposed things on him. He liked to devote more time to sports so we as parents simply let him follow his instinct and passion. I am proud of my son.”— TNS
