City orthodontist honoured by Vice-President

City orthodontist Dr Amanish Singh was honoured by Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu at a conference held at Lady Harding Medical College, New Delhi, on Saturday.

He has been honoured for his efforts in promoting research among dental students.

He has been applauded for reinforcing research and innovation in the minds of young students at the initial level and encouraging them to be innovative so as to raise India on global innovation index.

Amanish Singh, who is also the principal of Adesh Dental College, Adesh University, had also been chosen for a fellowship of International College of Dentists in Chennai recently.

Amanish Singh has been teaching dentistry for 17 years. He is known for his proactive approach for dental education and revolutionary ideas in the field.

Dr Singh has travelled to various universities across the globe, including the prestigious Boston University, University of Chicago, Seattle University in USA, University of Toronto, University of Valencia in Spain and University of Istanbul, Turkey.

Dr HS Gill, Chancellor, Adesh University, Dr GPI Singh, Vice-Chancellor, and Dr Gurpreet Singh Gill congratulated Dr Amanish Singh for his achievement.
