The Bathinda Management Association (BMA) organised a seminar on Friday evening in which Sumail Singh Sidhu, a renowned philosopher and expert of modern history, delivered a talk on the topic ‘Walking along the Idea of Punjab’.

Sidhu discussed various issues related to the people of Punjab. He said youth is the time to struggle and fight and not to get down and leave. Youth is the time to question and find solutions and also to know how to face situations and how to put odds upside down. If the youth do not work and understand these things, it would lead to destruction of society and that was what was happening today. That’s why the youngsters were leaving India. One must learn to love the motherland and understand responsibilities. He narrated various quotes and incidents from the past that had led to destruction of the society as a whole.

He said we have to come forward to serve our land and create an environment that suits everyone. The youth must provide space for everyone and respect and understand the rich culture of the land.

Later, the management thanked Prof Sumail Singh for his enlightening words and presented him a memento.

City-based lawyer Jaideep Nayyar has been appointed president of Bathinda Management Association (BMA) and Prof Vikasdeep has been appointed general secretary of the BMA.
