Bathinda: A city-based NGO, Aasra Welfare Society, organised a blood donation camp to observe the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh on Saturday. Students of schools also presented a choreography showcasing patriotism during the event. Bathinda Improvement Trust Chairman KK Aggarwal was the chief guest on the occasion. As many as 25 blood units were collected during the camp. Ramesh Mehta, founder of the NGO, said they had been observing the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh every year. TNS

Asr beat Sangrur by four wickets

Bathinda: Amritsar defeated Sangrur by 4 wickets on the third day of the state-level games here on Saturday. Sukhbak Singh was adjudged man of the match for his all-around performance. He scored 29 runs and picked up three wickets for nine runs in four overs. TNS
