The girls’ and boys’ team of Bathinda won final of their respective categories and won the overall trophy of the 62nd (U-14) State School Handball Games.
In boys’ category, Bathinda defeated Sangrur 12-10 in the final match and won the trophy.
Faridkot beat Fazilka and bagged the third position in the meet.
In the semifinal matches, Bathinda beat Fazilka 11-8, while Sangrur edged past Faridkot 10-9 to reach the final.
In girls’ category, Bathinda beat Faridkot 12-9 in the final match. Sangrur bagged the third position after defeating Tarn Taran 9-1 in the third place’s match.
In the semifinal matches, Bathinda drubbed Sangrur 9-3, while Faridkot beat Taran Taran 14-6 to secure their position in the final.
