Bathinda, February 15

An inter-campus athletics meet was organised at Guru Kashi University (GKU) on Friday. Manisha Gulati, chairperson of the Punjab Women Commission, was the chief guest on the occasion.

In her address, Manisha motivated the students to participate in all the events as sports play a constructive role in life. “The sportsmanship in an individual prepares one to meet the challenges in life,” she said.

GKU chairman Gurlabh Singh Sidhu and MD Sukhraj Singh Sidhu congratulated the winning candidates. Sidhu said a sound mind lived in a sound body and added that students should take more interest in games and sports of their liking. The students taking active part in games cannot go astray.

Dr Jaswinder Singh Dhillon, vice-chancellor (GKU), inspired students and said sports inculcated a team spirit among students and make them disciplined.
