Congress candidate Amrinder Singh Raja Warring’s wife Amrita Warring held 18 public meetings on the first day of campaigning on Monday.

Amrita raked up the sacrilege issue and asked people to “teach the SAD a lesson” by rejecting it.

Addressing public meetings, she lashed at the Badal family. Besides, she also listed works done in her husband’s Gidderbaha constituency.

She said they had given a facelift to the constituency.

She attended public meetings at Lulbai, Bahadurgarh Jandian, Raike Khurd, Bambiha, Kaljharani, Batti Patti, Chak Attar Singhwala, Bajak, Dhunike, Faridkot Kotli, Kotli Sabo, Nar Singh Colony and Doomwali villages.

Later, she also held meeting party workers of Bathinda at night.
