Akali Dal, BJP workers clash in Bhagta Bhaika

BATHINDA: A clash took place between Akali workers and AAP workers at Bhagta Bhaika here today. Members of both parties were injured and booked in the Civil Hospital and the Diyalpura police today registered cross case in this matter.

A clash took place between Akali workers and AAP workers at Bhagta Bhaika here today. Members of both parties were injured and booked in the Civil Hospital and the Diyalpura police today registered cross case in this matter. No arrest was made by the police in this case and the Diyalpura police booked a councillor of Bhagta Bhai Ka along with eight persons allegedly for assaulting a person.

As per a complaint lodged by AAP worker Kewel Singh, a resident of Bhagta, Jagseer Singh, Sukhjinder Singh MC of Akali Dal, residents of Bhagta Bhaika, and seven unidentified accused assaulted him with sharp-edged weapons due to some old dispute but he managed to escape.

On the other hand, Jagseer Singh also lodged a complaint with same allegations. A cross case was registered in the Diyalpura police station under Sections 324, 148 and 149 of the IPC. Navyugdeep Singh, investigation officer, said that cross case was registered and probe is on. — TNS
