BATHINDA: Candidates of all political parties are utilising their free time by enjoying trips, ahead of the counting of votes on March 11, to relax and stay away from stress after a long and hectic campaign.

Candidates of all political parties are utilising their free time by enjoying trips, ahead of the counting of votes on March 11, to relax and stay away from stress after a long and hectic campaign. All of them are confident of their win.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from the Bathinda (Urban) constituency Deepak Bansal is in Chail, Himachal Pradesh, with his election team for relaxation and enjoyment.

Bansal said, “I have come to Chail for enjoyment with my team. We are confident of our win. Our win is sure, only announcement is yet to be made.”

SAD candidate Sarup Chand Singla went to Thailand with his family and friends. He returned today and held a meeting with his close aides, including a few party leaders.

Singla said, “I am going to win for sure and the SAD is forming the government for the third time in the state with a thumping majority.”

Congress candidate Manpreet Singh Badal is spending his free time at his residence in Badal village. He has been visiting Bathinda on regular intervals. He has also been holding meetings with his party leaders and workers for the past one month.

Confident of win from Bathinda, PPCC secretary Rajan Garg said, “There is no question about the Bathinda seat as Manpreet Badal is winning it with a huge margin. The Congress is also going to form the government in the state with a majority.”

AAP candidate from Talwandi Sabo Baljinder Kaur has gone out of the state for some personal work. Congress candidate Khushbaaz Singh Jatana is camping in his constituency. He is meeting party workers to assess the ground report.

SAD candidate from Rampura Phul Sikander Singh Maluka is relaxing at Maluka village. SAD minister Janmeja Singh Sekhon, who contested from Maur, had gone to abroad in his free time.

Congress candidate from Barnala Kewal Singh Dhillon yesterday visited Bangla Sahib gurdwara along with his wife to pay obeisance.

People can be seen predicting about the outcome of the Assembly elections in every nook and corner of the city. They are eagerly waiting for March 11.
